ONE MORE STOCK!

As I walk into the main ballroom of the Crowne Plaza in Downtown Detroit, I'm met by the roar of a crowd screaming "One More Stock!" as Void, a Pichu aficionado in Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Shiek master in Smash For WiiU, is going against Komota who is known for his excellent Kirby and ability to compete with Top 10 players. The atmosphere is simply electric as the room is nearly packed with people from all over the world who have come to tackle the mountain that is Frostbite 2019.

#ComeToFrostbite

Even though TSM's own Gavin "Tweek" Dempsey took home 1st from Frostbite, the real winners were the attendees of Frostbite 2019. The gaming event is a delight for anyone who is a Smash Bros fan or enthusiast. With a 24-hour games room open, I was able to enjoy Smash without the pressures of competing in pools. Upstairs, I was treated to an assortment of vendors catering to the community and culture, lining the hallway with Smash Bros inspired art, buttons, keychains, shirts and more. There was even a room for other Smash themed events and Tabletop Games, hosted by the Gamer Gauntlet, in case you played any number of card games such as Pokemon, Magic or Yugioh. Frostbite has slowly evolved from is humble beginnings in 2015 as a single day event in Ann Arbor to its current home at the Crowne Plaza in Downtown Detroit, taking up a weekend as the biggest Smash Ultimate Conference in Michigan.
